الحمد لله مظهر دينه المبين وحائطه من شبه المبطلين وتحريف الجاهلين بعث محمدا عليه السلام إلى كافة خلقه بكتابه الذي لا يأتيه الباطل من بين يديه ولا من خلفه وضمن تعالى حفظه فما قدر العدو على إدخال الخلل في لفظه مع كثرة الجاحد الجاهد على إطفاء نوره وظهرت المعادي المعاند لظهوره وبين على لسان نبيه من مناهجه وشرعته ما وكل نفي التحريف عنه لعدول أعلام الهدى من أمته فلم يزالوا رضوان الله عليهم يذبون عن حي السنن ويقومون لله بهداهم القويم الحسن وينبهون على من يتهم بهتك حريمها ومزج صحيحها بسقيمها حتى بان الصدق من المين وبان الصبح لذي عينين وتميز الخبيث من الطيب وتبين الرشد من الغي واستقام ميسم الصحيح وأبدى عن الرغوة الصريح ثم نظروا رحمهم الله بعد هذا التمييز العزيز والتصريح المريح نظرا آخر في الصحيح فيما يقع لآفة البشرية من ثقات رواته من وهم وغفلة فنقبوا في البلاد عن أسبابها وهتكوا ببارع معرفتهم ولطف فطنتهم سجف حجابها حتى وقفوا على سرها ووقعوا على خبيئة أمرها قأبانوا عللها وقيدوا مهملها وأقاموا محرفها وعانوا سقيمها وصححوا مصحفها وأبرزوا في كل ذلك تصانيف كثرت صنوفها وظهر شفوفها واتخذها العالمون قدوة ونصبها العالمون قبلة فجزاهم الله عن سعيهم الحميد أحسن ما جازى به أحبار ملة
Alḥamdulillāh, over the course of the Gregorian year, 2020, I had the opportunity of teaching Maʿrifat ʿUlūm al-Ḥadīth of Ibn aṣ-Ṣalaḥ and Nuzhat an-Naẓar online. It was only after I commenced teaching that I learnt that the participants are qualified scholars who are teaching higher Islamic studies. To make the lessons beneficial for them, we decided to go into more detail.
However, with the commitments of these scholars, as the year went on and their responsibilities increased, it became rather difficult for them to capture all the information provided in the lessons. We therefore decided to have these lessons written down.
Alḥamdulillāh, we now have this initiative of loading all these notes on this site, and introducing additional courses.
We are grateful to Dr Afzal Mohammed from Birmingham, UK, for sponsoring this entire site. May Allāh accept this as a Sadaqah al-Jāriyah (continuous charity) for him, and may Allāh bless him with happiness in both worlds.
I am also very thankful to Shaykh Suwayd Siddique from Sydney for convincing me to teach online. It took him four years of continuous convincing and encouraging. Alhamdulillāh, we finally started, and Allāh Taʿāla made it a means for me to get into contact with some of the most amazing souls.

- Since these notes were put together from a verbal lecture, the grammar and style might not be the best for a reader.
- The posts of different students have been posted. Therefore, the format and presentation is different. One student has unified the notes for Nuzha an-Nadhar.
- For Muqaddimah Ibn as-Salah, only the synopsis of the lessons have been posted. Once we teach the book again, the entire lesson will be posted, insha Allah
- For Nuzha an-Nadhar, the text of the book is written in red.
- For some books, different prints of books were used, depending on what was at our disposal. References will differ according to that.
- After delivering the lecture, we did not get a chance as yet to go through all the notes.
- There is a huge difference between delivering a lecture, and between officially sitting and writing a book. When teaching, the teacher has deadlines. Also, the teacher only says what comes to mind during the lessons. Many times, information has to be curtailed in order not go beyond the allocated time. When writing a book, the author has enough time for research, books at his disposal, and he does not have the challenges of a teacher.
- Since these were all verbally uttered, there has to be errors. Please do notify us of any discrepancies, mistakes and clear errors.
